  • The Ark Workshop use of personal information that you may submit to The Ark Workshop through this Web site is governed by the The Ark Workshop Privacy Policy and your information will NEVER be shared to any third party.  Information shared is only to help you more easily utilize our website on future visits.



  • Shipping & Delivery

  • At this time, The Ark Workshop ships merchandise only to locations within the continental United States.  All shipping charges are determined by the carrier and we do not add extra for boxing or handling.  The rate being charged will be the rate we will have to pay to get it to you.  Rates are determined by box size, box weight, and your zip code.  The checkout system will bundle all items ordered and then calculate the lowest rate available based on your location.  We generally ship FEDEX or USPS because these carriers seem to offer the lowest rates for our type of product.  West coast rates are usually higher than other states.    Smaller items (bluebird houses, bat houses, etc) will generally arrive within 2 weeks.  Larger items (cat houses, martin houses, etc.) will usually arrive within 3 weeks.  Turnaround times are stated within each listing and sometimes change during peak buying seasons.  All packages are insured for possible damages incurred while in transit.  Once tracking indicates that a package has been delivered, the risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered passes onto you the buyer.  We do not require a signature for delivery.  Customers may request that when they order.  We will contact you (by email) after your purchase and we will summarize your order and provide a projected date of delivery.  We will also contact you after your package is shipped and provide a delivery date as well as tracking information. 

    NO CANCELLATIONS:  Due to the limited number of order openings each year, we can only work on a certain number of projects.  Therefore, when an order gets placed it has reserved that specific shop time over another order.  Our turnaround time is dictated by the number of projects we have scheduled.  Sometimes, customers do not want to wait the turnaround time and forgo ordering.  Each workshop time slot is valuable and when a customer orders, they are basically reserving that time over someome else. Also, many of the items we make are customized ... meaning that customers select certain options and tailor their houses to their particular needs.  It is also, for that reason, that there are no cancellations.  A customized project cannot simply be returned to inventory.  To resell the item, we would have to rely on another customer ordering the same, exact customizations.  Therefore, NO CANCELLATIONS as well as NO RETURNS for the same reason.  Once an order is placed, materials are purchased to do the project.  There is also much administrative TIME (emails, phone calls, etc.) that is involved in each transaction.   Time and materials are already committed, early on, once an order is placed.  Therefore, no cancellations are accepted.  A customer can resell their item on selling platforms, give the item as a gift to friends or family, hold onto the item for use later, or donate item to a local pet agency as a charitable tax deduction.



  • International

  • You may purchase merchandise from this Web site by using any one of the payment options listed in (link to Payment Options). The Ark Workshop reserves the right to change its payment procedures at any time without prior notice to you.  If there are any problems or damages with the items that you have received, please contact us and we will be happy to help.  All shipments are insured through our shipping carrier.  Please make returns within 14 days of receipt.  Buyer pays for return shipping and, if a credit is to be issued, it will be for product price only.  Shipping charges are not refunded.  If items were damaged in shipping, please let us know and we will make arrangements for the item to be picked up and new product shipped.  We will make arrangements with the carrier and keep you updated along the way.  There will be no addittional costs to you.....of course.
